Our monthly meeting will be held at the Microsoft Greater PA Office in Malvern, PA on Wednesday, November 16 from 5:30-8:30. We have a special format planned. There will be 10 presenters each doing a 15 minute session covering one of their favorite .NET topics. We will close with a panel discussion with all presenters. There will be no break this night, but food and drink will be available throughout the evening. Refreshments are provided courtesy of philly.NET. Please register at EventBrite. This talk will show off RavenDB - a .NET focused "document database." For some types of applications - you'll never want a relational database again. NoSQL databases continue to be a growing and viable alternative to standard SQL databases, one of the most popular today is the distributed NoSQL database from the Apache project, Cassandra. We will be looking at the Cassandra database and the FluentCassandra driver written in .NET. |  |

It means that we now need to be mindful of not just how many items are in our lists, but how our views are constructed as well because, well, it’s not as dramatic as the scene referenced in the title of this topic, but let’s just say it’s not really pretty. Today’s 15 minutes will discuss the areas that are impacted by these throttles, and the various ways of handling and managing a large number of items in a SharePoint list. |
